What is Hardcut Limiter?
The Hardcut Limiter, also known as the Popcorn Limiter, is an ECU tuning feature that aggressively cuts fuel at a defined RPM limit, rather than gradually softening power. This produces a sharp, crackling sound at redline, often used in diesel and turbocharged petrol vehicles.
Unlike the factory “softcut” limiter, which gently limits RPM to protect the engine, a Hardcut creates a rapid, rhythmic fuel cut—creating the iconic “popcorn” or “bang-bang” effect heard in motorsports and performance builds.
What is No Lift Shift (NLS)?
No Lift Shift (NLS) allows drivers to shift gears without lifting off the throttle.
